Statement from Artistry MN (formerly the Bloomington Center for the Arts):
Visit the Inez Greenberg Gallery in December to find distinctive gifts for everyone on your shopping list. Gifts in the Gallery is a two-week boutique featuring a stunning array of items including silk scarves, jewelry, ceramics, blown glass, and much more–all handcrafted by over 60 local artists.
A showcase of gift-able art in time for the holidays.
Dates will be posted in October.
I live in an inner circle suburb of Minneapolis. During strolls through my gardens, and walks through the neighborhood, with my camera in hand, I photograph creatures who journey freely as they travel about their daily lives. Using the photos as my inspiration, I paint animals in natural settings rendered in vibrant colors on canvas and wood.
This collection of paintings will be on view first at Pottery Place in Red Wing, Minnesota and then at the Purple Turtle Galley in Stockholm, Wisconsin.
The Northrup King Building has open studios every First Thursday of the month and we invite you to visit, chat and take in some art. See you in studio 203 (close to the Van Buren Street entrance).
Just a note: While the event hours are from 5-9 pm, my studio will open at 6 pm. Thank you for your attention.
The Salon des Refusés has historically been an opportunity to show excellent art that has been rejected by a specific exhibition. Northrup King Building has graciously offered Gallery #332, as a venue for Salon des Refusés on a Stick. Yes, those works rejected by our beloved Minnesota State Fair. This is a lighthearted and fun event showcasing great and rejected art. With over 3000 entrants, and fewer than 400 spaces, the Minnesota State Fair is a highly competitive fine art event. Let's show our love for the Rejected!
The exhibition will span First Thursday at the Northrup King Building, Open Saturdays and the very popular Northrup King Nights.
My painting, "The Paper Boats" will be on display during this fun show. Make sure to stop by!
I will be showcasing some of my marine themed paintings at the Seward neighborhood Pizza Luce during September 2018. Stop by, grab some delicious Pizza and relax with some marine animals!
Here is a representation of a number of paintings you'll see there.
I will post one butterfly painting each day for the next 30 days and I'd love to use your photos for inspiration, so please send them over! You can post your pics to my FB page, PM me through my FB page (https://www.facebook.com/nickyworks/) , send me a message through the contact page on this site, or email me at email@example.com
